Finance Your Settlement Loans For Your Infuse Bone Graft Lawsuit

Bone grafts after surgery on your back can be traumatic enough, but there are sometimes some pretty terrible effects of using the Infuse Bone Graft that lead to even more problems down the line. Used to promote bone growth, it is used in spinal fusion procedures in skeletally mature patients who have degenerative disc disease. As many of these procedures are completed on patients who are older, there is an increased risk of side-effects. Over the last few years, there have been a handful of side effects that have reportedly appeared after one of these devices was used. They include
* Allergic reaction to the synthetics
* Tissue damage
* Bone fractures
* Abnormal bone formation
* Loosening of the implant
* Breakage of the implant
* Bending of the implant
* Moving implants
* Gastrointestinal issues
* Bladder issues
* Bowel problems
* Infections
* Swelling
* Having a hard time swallowing
* Sexual dysfunction
* Breathing problems
* Pain and discomfort
* Nerve damage
* Spinal damage
* Neurological problems
* Paralysis
* Spinal curving
* Disabilities
* Wrongful death
Many of these issues are terrible. Lawsuits have continued to spring up over the years to try and receive some sort of compensation. However, settlements on these lawsuits can often take a long period of time. Depending on how severe the side effects the plaintiff is experiencing are, the client might be left unable to work. Claim Information

The Infuse Bone Graft, sold by Medtronic, was originally approved back in 2002 with the goal of infusing vertebrae in the lower spine after surgery to correct degenerative discs and associated diseases. It was used for years in order to treat severe back pain in place of using human bone particles, which was the standard for decades before that. The device was created as a synthetic way of completing this process with “less risk of infection.” It featured a synthetic protein called recombinant human bone morphogenetic protein (rhBMP-2) in order to promote bone growth and was initially hailed as a great advancement in the medical world.
Over the years, the FDA has fielded hundreds of complaints about the device, mainly due to the device being used for other types of back surgeries as well as the ones it was designed for. By 2008, a report came out from the FDA telling surgeons to only use the device for its intended use, after many patients complained about throat pain which was discovered to be a result of nerve damage in the neck due to the device.
By 2012, it was discovered that Medtronic had paid research hundreds of millions in what they called “consulting fees’ ‘ to the Senate Finance committee who was investigating them at the time. This obvious conflict of interest remained a point of contention in many of the lawsuits, which still continue today.

FAQs

How Do I Get Funding For a Lawsuit Like This?

The process of getting a loan for your Infuse Bone Graft case is pretty simple. The primary condition is that the clients applying for a loan have used the device in question and have been affected by it in some way. The second condition is that the clients have lawyers hired to represent them in this class-action lawsuit. Some of the side effects that they experienced must include:

  • Spinal and neck inflammation
  • Breathing problems and constructions
  • Spinal nerve damage leading to severe neck and back pain
  • Extra surgery to remove bone overgrowth
  • Wrongful death

Once you are working with a class-action lawyer for any of these reasons, it will be possible to file your claim under one of the following reasons:

  • Defective product
  • Medical malpractice by Medtronic and its subsidiaries
  • Medical negligence by Medtronic
  • Fraud by Medtronic
  • Faulty design and design negligence

Who Needs A Lawsuit Loan?

While a pre-settlement loan or post-settlement loan sounds like an “easy way out” for some, it is important to consider that they are not good for every kind of client. The effects of your Infuse Bone Graft may have very well left you unable to work and earn a steady income. Perhaps you were struggling financially even before the device-related side effects disrupted your life. If so, then you are the perfect client for a lawsuit loan.
Others may not need any financial assistance, in which case, the lawsuit loans are not for them. There is no need to put yourself into debt if you can cover your bills and legal fees on your own. However, if you are in need of money and you can’t wait for your settlement payment, you can apply for a lawsuit loan with us. In some situations, the waiting period may last from a few months to a few years. This is a terribly long period of time for plaintiffs in need of money to cover their bills. Additionally, if the case has been settled but you are still waiting for the money to be paid out, you might be looking at a bit of a shorter wait but that is not guaranteed. When thinking about applying for a loan, you should consider how much you exactly need for the time being. In this way, you will have some money left from your settlement once you pay back the loan.

How Is Rapid Lawsuit Funding Different Than a Bank?

Unlike many of the more traditional lending options like borrowing from a bank, using a service such as Rapid Lawsuit Funding gives you peace of mind in a number of ways. Not only will you know whether you’re approved or not in just a matter of days, but you will also get funded in less than a day and be able to enjoy a risk-free, low-interest loan.
In the event that you lose your case, you will not be expected to pay the loan back which is much different than many of the other options out there. With a low-interest rate, you will not be stuck paying back high rates from your settlement money once you do receive it. In the end, Rapid prides itself on ensuring that our clients not only end up getting the justice they deserve but the dignity to wade through the troubling waters of that time period as well. It can be very tricky to deal with not being able to pay your bills in the interim, but being able to borrow at least a portion of what you are set to receive from a settlement helps greatly. When it comes to living expenses, utilities, and other such bills, none of those things are going to wait for you to receive your settlement, so it’s always in your best interest to make sure that you have a way to pay them. With Rapid, you will always have a reasonable way to stay on top of all of your expenses.
